Quick tips for trying the demos:

Tempo Tracker App

This listens to you play and shows your actual tempo in real time. Not what you think you’re playing…What you’re really doing. You’ll quickly see if you’re rushing, dragging, or locked in.

Steps to use

  • Click Start Mic
  • Start playing

Solo Trainer Metronome App

This is where things get real. The click plays… then drops out… then comes back. So now the question becomes:


Can you keep time on your own? This is where your internal pulse really starts to develop.

Steps to use

  • Select your meter
  • Press Start and play
  • Unlock tempo and longer trades in the full version


Pro tip: Try grooving when the click drops out instead of soloing. This will test the consistency of your groove time.

Solo Trainer Music App

Now you take everything into real music.


  • Practice with real Jazz Standards tracks
  • Trade 4’s, 8’s, or longer
  • Loop sections
  • Play while the band drops out

It feels like playing on a gig. This is where your soloing really starts to open up.

Steps to use

  • Select your song. High-quality audio may take a few seconds to load the first time. Use wifi for faster loading.
  • Choose your pre-roll. Add a click before the track starts and select the number of measures.
  • Turn on the metronome for a click during your solos or leave it off for more of a challenge.
  • Hit Play and start soloing. 

    Pro tip: Try grooving instead of soloing to test the consistency of your groove time.

Groove Check App

Take your groove work into real time and play with pocket.

  • See if your groove is on top, in the pocket, or behind the beat

It’s like having a groove coach listening to you while you play. This is where your groove time and feel really start to lock in.

  • Use with headphones/earphones
  • In your device System Settings, select the device mic (not headphones mic)
  • In your device System Settings, set the mic input level to 50%.
  • Choose your tempo
  • Select your groove style
  • Enable the mic
  • Press Start and groove
  • 1-min demo and locked tempo. Get unlimited use with the full version.
